Personal Banker

About This Role

The Personal Banker establishes relationships with customers and prospective customers to understand, identify, and satisfy their financial needs, providing a positive customer experience while conducting transactions. This dynamic position performs both transaction and sales and service duties, with responsibilities varying daily based on branch needs.

Responsibilities

• Process a variety of financial transactions, including opening accounts, check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, and loan payments
• Cross-sell and promote organizational products and services
• Conduct tele-consulting and develop relationships through a book of business
• Service accounts and perform customer needs-based assessments
• Research and resolve account issues and inquiries
• Meet sales expectations, including deposit, loan, and revenue goals
• Generate sales and referrals
• Manage and balance cash drawers
• Assist the Assistant Branch Manager with daily branch responsibilities, end-of-day functions, and reporting
• Meet sales referrals and cross-selling goals by knowing product and service features and benefits
• Actively refer customers for commercial products or services to appropriate business partners
• Exceed customer expectations through active engagement and dedication to servicing and building relationships
• Advance the Bank's Corporate Sales Program through consultative needs assessments, developing new relationships, and expanding existing ones
• Manage and grow a book-of-business
• Identify opportunities with customers and prospective customers through lobby management
• Assist customers and prospective customers with digital technologies and provide referrals to other lines of business
• Help maintain cost efficiency to achieve branch goals
• Assure quality of customer service and adherence to sales and brand standards
• Execute expectations for a positive customer service experience
• Ensure operational and financial safety and soundness in accordance with Bank’s policies, compliance, and applicable laws and regulations
• Leverage lobby management as a tool for controlling and mitigating risk
• Establish customer identity
