Role: HRP Performance Test Analyst
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced HRP Performance Test Analyst to lead load, stress, and performance validation of the HRP platform as part of the Facets-to-HRP migration for VNS Health. The ideal candidate will work with client to design and execute performance test scenarios against the HRP Windows desktop application as ensuring the platform can handle expected concurrent-user and transaction volumes ahead of each migration milestone and go-live.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement performance framework to execute performance, load, and stress test scenarios for the HRP Windows desktop application and associated integration/API layers.
- Design and execute performance testing on the Desktop application, capture the response time for each screen and workflow which user will be using for the business need in lower environment
- Execute concurrent-user and transaction-volume profiles per milestone (Provider Conversion, Medicare Enrollment, Medicaid Membership, Claims Cutover, Hypercare), based on client’s business volumes
- Build and run load-testing scripts covering peak enrollment/claims surge scenarios and validate response times against agreed P50/P95/P99 targets.
- Coordinate with Health Edge and UST to obtain and validate their performance test results for HRP and independently verify findings where required.
- Identify performance bottlenecks (application, database, integration, or infrastructure layer) and work with technical teams to drive remediation.
- Document test plans, scenarios, thresholds, and results, and present findings for reporting purpose
- Support performance testing for client business, ensuring HRP performance is validated under real daily production file volumes (837 claims, 834 enrollments, 278 authorizations).
- Track open performance-related questions and risks (e.g., tool procurement, concurrency targets, environment parity) to closure ahead of go-live.
- Work with VNS client on test scenarios generation for the performance testing
Required Qualifications
- Experience in performance testing on the HRP (HealthRules Payer) application.
- Experience in the healthcare payer domain, ideally with exposure to claims adjudication, enrollment, and provider data volumes.
- Solid understanding of core-system migration/conversion testing, including parallel testing and cutover performance validation.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills; comfortable presenting performance findings to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Direct experience performance testing HealthRules Payer (HRP) or a similar core administrative processing system
- Experience with EDI transaction volumes (834, 837, 835) and their performance impact on core adjudication systems.
- SQL and infrastructure-monitoring experience to help isolate whether bottlenecks sit in the application, database, or integration layer.
- Prior consulting or client-facing experience on a core-system migration project, including presenting performance risk status to client leadership.
