About the role
Position Overview: Seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) specialized in ICU or Telemetry for per diem hospital assignments in Halifax, VA.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality care in an acute-care hospital environment.
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatments.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and operate specialized equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams and communicate with patients and families.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and adhere to hospital policies and safety standards.
- Educate patients about treatment plans and discharge instructions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Active Virginia RN license.
- Minimum one year of recent ICU or Telemetry experience within the past two years.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test (within 12 months).
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
