About the role
Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU or Telemetry
Role Overview: Provide high-quality, safe patient care in an acute-care hospital setting, assessing and monitoring patients, administering medications and treatments, managing cardiac rhythms, and collaborating with healthcare teams. Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to safety and infection-control standards, and educate patients and families about care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality care in an acute-care hospital environment
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments following physician orders
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and operate specialized equipment
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records
- Follow hospital policies, infection-control, and patient safety guidelines
- Educate patients and families on treatment and discharge instructions
- Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability in a dynamic environment
Qualifications & Skills
- Virginia Registered Nurse license (active)
- At least one year of recent ICU or Telemetry experience within the past two years
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
- Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test (within 12 months)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
Additional Details: Flexible scheduling with day and night shifts, competitive pay, daily and weekly pay options, mobile scheduling, and supportive staffing. Opportunities for minimal shifts or more consistent work are available. Additional credentials may be required based on specific assignments.
