About the role
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) specializing in ICU and Telemetry for per diem hospital assignments in Halifax, VA.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Providing safe, high-quality care in an acute-care setting
- Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions and responses to treatments
- Administering medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
- Monitoring cardiac rhythms and specialized equipment
- Collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams
- Maintaining accurate electronic medical records
- Educating patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
- Adhering to hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
- Demonstrating professionalism and adaptability in a dynamic environment
Qualifications Include
- Active Virginia Registered Nurse license
- At least one year of recent ICU or Telemetry experience within the past two years
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test (within 12 months)
- COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption
