About This Role

This founding People Partner role is for a business operator at heart, acting as a strategic co-pilot to EPD, GTM, and Ops leaders. You will proactively anticipate organizational friction, design people solutions that drive business results, and leverage an AI-first mindset to eliminate administrative toil. The position suits a resilient builder who moves at the speed of an AI startup, deeply embedded in the business, using data to diagnose problems and influencing senior leadership on org design, talent density, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Embed deeply with Engineering, Product, GTM, and Ops to understand their roadmaps, driving business outcomes through intentional people strategies
• Act as an early warning system, using data and organizational pulse to anticipate burnout or friction points
• Partner with leaders to architect high-performance team structures, headcount forecasting, and foundational builds
• Ruthlessly automate routine tasks, leveraging AI tools and modern tech stacks to streamline people processes
• Serve as a truth-teller to leaders, providing high-signal coaching on performance, leadership, and team dynamics
• Own the People Dashboard for your business units, building clear, concise one-pagers based on metrics to influence leadership decisions
• Tailor the rollout of core programs (compensation cycles, leveling, performance frameworks) to the specific needs of your units
• Manage sensitive employee relations with empathy, legal rigor, and a focus on excellence
• Work seamlessly across the People team, flexing between building new programs and partnering with the hiring machine to ensure united solutions for the business

Requirements

• 8+ years as an HRBP or People Partner in a high-growth, fast-paced tech environment
• Technical and AI-savvy, speaking the language of engineers and researchers, and an early adopter of AI tools to up-level personal productivity
• A truth-teller with the confidence to push back on senior leaders and the EQ to do it effectively
• Data-driven, using data to tell stories, identify trends, and back up recommendations
• A master of high-stakes communication, able to draft clear, concise, and persuasive messages, one-pagers, or board slides
• Resilient, thriving in the grey of a startup and managing multiple high-priority work streams without losing focus
• Identifies organizational gaps and builds solutions without waiting for a ticket
