Pediatric Registered Nurse

About This Role

This night-shift homecare nursing opportunity focuses on providing one-on-one care for an infant patient in the Greater Rockford area, specifically involving G-tube, Trach, and Vent care. It is an ideal role for a dedicated and experienced pediatric Registered Nurse looking to make a meaningful difference in a child's life while building skills through comprehensive paid training and ongoing clinical support.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Initiate and follow the established plan of care, requesting revisions as patient needs change
• Provide therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing interventions
• Monitor patient condition and communicate significant changes to the physician or supervisor
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments while documenting patient response
• Support patient and family education, care coordination, goal setting, and discharge planning as appropriate

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Current Health Certificate (per state regulations or contract requirements)
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
• Current BLS certification

Nice to have:

• One year of RN experience
• One year of NICU/PICU experience
