About This Role
This Pediatric Nurse Practitioner role involves providing quality patient care within PrimaryOne Health's Columbus health centers. The position focuses on disease prevention, health promotion, and the diagnosis and treatment of various healthcare issues for the community.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a standard care arrangement with each supervising physician, updated annually, in compliance with Section 472343 of Ohio Revised Code
- Effectively identify, evaluate, and address disease prevention and health promotion issues of the population in the practice while administering quality patient care
- Work in an independent and interdependent relationship with members of the medical staff, allowing for consultation, collaboration, or referral
- Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of acute, chronic, and long-term healthcare issues
- Educate patients and/or families about preventative care, medical issues, and use of prescribed medical treatment and/or medications
- Maintain legible, accurate, and confidential medical records
- Document all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatment, outcomes, education, referrals, and consultations consistent with organization’s regulatory standards
- Facilitate evaluation of records by physician(s), peers, and Quality and Standards according to protocols, and receive and implement constructive directives
- Travel as required
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Ohio State certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the appropriate specialty (pediatric, family, adult, and women’s health)
- Maintain certification or eligibility during the term of employment
