Payroll Specialist

About This Role

The Payroll Specialist runs payroll for the whole company and answers employees' questions about their pay slips. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing for the team, suiting a candidate with a keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage bi-weekly payroll for all employees in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain payroll records and reconcile payroll reports
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
• Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to address payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll-related questions
• Prepare payroll tax filings and assist with audits as needed
• Support the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and software

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll role
• Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations
• Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality
• High school diploma or equivalent required

• An associate degree or higher in accounting, finance, or related field
