Payroll Specialist

About This Role

The Payroll Specialist runs payroll for the whole company and answers employees' questions about their pay slips. This exciting role focuses on processing payrolls for Australia, China, the United Kingdom, and Canada, offering a great opportunity to expand payroll knowledge and learn global markets.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end payroll processes for international markets, including payroll taxes, superannuation, and month-end account reconciliations
• Respond to staff queries and promote a strong customer focus with ongoing emphasis on quality-of-service delivery
• Prepare all payroll submissions, including company-specific payroll returns, tax returns, online filings with tax authorities, superannuation, and worker’s compensation, ensuring all requirements are met within required timeframes
• Assist the Payroll Manager with various reporting throughout the year

Requirements

• At least 3 years of payroll experience in a multi-national company
• Experience with PayGlobal is preferred
• Experience with international markets would be an advantage
• Basic understanding of finance and accounting processes
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to actively listen and adapt your style
• Ability to plan well around coinciding deadlines with strong time management skills
• High standard of work, demonstrating excellent attention to detail and perseverance
• Ability to pick up new systems and processes quickly
