Payroll Specialist

About This Role

The Payroll Specialist runs payroll for the whole company and answers employees' questions about their pay slips. This role ensures that payroll is processed accurately, on time, and confidentially for over 800 employees, adhering to company policies, employment contracts, labor laws, and statutory requirements. The position involves close collaboration with HR, Finance, Project Management, and Site Administration teams to maintain accurate records, manage compensation, and support reporting and audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant payroll experience
• Experience handling payroll for 500–800+ employees is strongly preferred
• Previous experience in engineering, construction, contracting, or other project-based industries is an advantage
• Practical knowledge of payroll calculations, attendance management, overtime, leave settlements, and employee final settlements
• Experience with ERP, HRIS, and payroll systems; knowledge of Odoo, SAP or similar systems is desirable
• Strong Excel skills, including lookup functions, pivot tables, data validation, and payroll reconciliation
• Knowledge of applicable labor legislation, statutory deductions, and payroll compliance requirements
• Professional payroll or accounting certification is an advantage
