Payroll Officer

About This Role

Processing the monthly payroll from start to finish for one or more service lines is the core of this role, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely payments. The Payroll Officer supports daily payroll operations in close partnership with Talent Teams and maintains the payroll application, striving for quality and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Process the monthly payroll from A to Z for one or more service lines and ensure compliance with social and fiscal regulations and correct and timely calculation and payment of salaries
• Understand the unique factors involved in processing the payroll for a service line as your internal client(s) and advise proactively the Talent Team of the different service lines
• Support the daily payroll related operations in close partnership with the Talent Teams in the service lines
• Collect time and attendance data and other data needed for the monthly payroll cycle
• Perform administrative tasks related to social security obligations, accidents at work, insurances etc.
• Use and maintain the payroll application and guarantee its correctness by performing regular controls
• Follow up on issues with regard to personnel files to ensure that the best possible service is offered to our internal employees
• Continuously keep current with the most recent developments and payroll legislation
• Be a key member of the payroll team and report to the Payroll Manager, working in close collaboration with the Talent Teams in different service lines

Requirements

• A Bachelor degree
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within a payroll department
• An excellent level of Dutch, French and a good level of English
• A good knowledge of MS Office and specifically Excel
• Good knowledge in Belgian social and labor legislation
• Be discrete, punctual and precise
• Be a team player, balanced by a healthy sense of autonomy
• Have excellent organization and communication skills
