Payroll Manager

About This Role

Managing payroll for a growing manufacturing company is the core of this role, which involves ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering a collaborative team environment. This position is ideal for a candidate with strong multi-state payroll experience, particularly in California and Texas.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current knowledge of payroll regulations, legality, and compliance
• Delegate tasks, communicate with the team on responsibilities and projects, and encourage a collaborative environment
• Benchmark salary ranges, job descriptions, and hourly pay
• Manage and process payrolls for multiple state employees and jurisdictions
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes, and deductions
• Oversee the preparation, documentation, and disbursement of payroll checks, direct deposits, and payroll tax filings

Requirements

• 5+ years minimum experience in Payroll Management and at least 3 years in people management
• Experienced in using different payroll systems and possessing tech-savvy ability to learn and adapt to new systems
• Manufacturing industry experience required
• Multi-state experience required, with CA required and TX ideal
• Ability to be 100% on site
