We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead our Thailand payroll operations and serve as the subject matter expert for payroll, taxation, labor compliance, and payroll advisory services. This role is critical to our business as payroll calculation and compliance services form a core part of our service offering. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading payroll operations, managing a team of payroll professionals, supporting client advisory requirements, and ensuring compliance with Thailand payroll, tax, and employment regulations. The role requires a strong combination of payroll expertise, leadership capability, compliance knowledge, and client-facing experience.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end payroll operations for multiple clients.
- Oversee payroll processing for approximately 2,500–3,000 employee records.
- Ensure payroll calculations are accurate, timely, and compliant with statutory requirements.
- Review payroll outputs, reconciliations, reports, and exceptions.
- Establish and maintain payroll operational controls and quality assurance processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
- Act as the internal subject matter expert for Thailand payroll regulations and statutory requirements.
- Ensure accurate calculation and reporting of Personal Income Tax (PIT), Social Security Fund (SSF), Provident Fund contributions, and other statutory deductions and employer obligations.
- Support annual tax reconciliations and year-end reporting requirements.
- Monitor regulatory and legislative changes impacting payroll operations.
About you
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of payroll experience.
- Minimum 3 years in a managerial or team leadership role.
- Proven experience managing payroll operations for large employee populations.
- Strong knowledge of Thailand payroll regulations, Personal Income Tax (PIT), Social Security Fund requirements, payroll compliance and statutory reporting, and Thailand labor law and employment practices.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to explain complex payroll and compliance matters clearly.
- Strong communication skills in both Thai and English.
