Payment Operations Assistant Manager

About This Role

This role involves managing payment operations on a one-year contract, focusing on clearing transactions and ensuring timely processing. It suits a detail-oriented professional with banking or finance experience who can work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Process inward and outward clearing transactions, including clearing returns
• Handle cheque clearing, CCASS, FINI, direct debit, and direct credit activities
• Perform verification, validation, data entry, and reconciliation of clearing items
• Generate and submit clearing data, image, and return files to HKICL
• Ensure timely completion of tasks within HKICL/HKSCC cut-off times
• Liaise with internal departments and branches on clearing enquiries
• Maintain documentation for audit and compliance requirements
• Support UAT, operational readiness, procedure review, and post-implementation activities

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and responsible attitude with a problem-solving mindset
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Form 6 (HKDSE pass) or above
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the banking or finance industry
• Proficient in general PC applications
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese
• Self-motivated with a detail mind
