Patient Care Technician Medical Surgical Unit - Part Time Night

About This Role

Providing direct care to patients on a medical surgical unit is the core of this night-shift role, working under the direction of a registered nurse. The position suits a patient care technician who is able to work part-time nights, including every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs
• Perform EKGs
• Perform phlebotomy
• Assist or provide patients with bedside care, including bathing, mouth care, and skin care

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• BLS through American Heart Association

Nice to have:

• Prior experience in patient care
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with others effectively
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
