About This Role
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) plays a vital role in providing care for patients of all ages in the Walk In Clinic. This position involves preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, and supporting nursing staff in daily workflow, making it ideal for someone who is self-motivated and enjoys working in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare exam rooms for patient use
- Take vital signs including height, weight, blood pressure, and visual acuity
- Conduct drug screens and point of care urinalysis
- Perform reception and clerical tasks
- Clean and maintain patient care areas or treatment rooms
- Monitor stock levels of medical inventory and restock or reorder as needed
- Work with patient registries to identify opportunities for improving patient care
Requirements
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Minimum of six months’ experience preferred, especially in a clinic setting
- Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or to be obtained within the first 60 days of employment
- If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be registered as a Nursing Assistant (NA) through the North Dakota Department of Health within four months from the date of initial employment

Important Details
- Schedule: Varies, with shifts including M-F 8a-9pm, Weekends 10a-4pm, and Holidays 8a-2p
- Every other weekend and holiday required
