Patient Care Assistant (PCA) – Womens Services
Job Type: Full Time | Nights

Schedule: 3 x 12-Hour Shifts; 6:45pm-7:15am & every other weekend, with self-scheduling & rotating holiday coverage.

Our Women’s Services Unit provides compassionate, patient-centered care in a supportive and family-focused environment. The team is dedicated to delivering high-quality care across all stages of women’s health, emphasizing safety, comfort, and education. This collaborative unit offers a rewarding opportunity for staff to make a meaningful impact while supporting patients and families during important life moments.

How you'll contribute

A**Patient Care Assistant (PCA)**who excels in this role:

  • Performs basic patient care as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possible blood glucose measurements, and accurate intake/output recording.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, ambulation).
  • Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff.
  • Maintains clean, safe, and well-stocked patient rooms and common areas.
  • Manages the tech desk and supports nursing/physician staff and overall department throughput.
  • Documents care and activities per unit standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned; participates in performance improvement and required education.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a High School Diploma (or equivalent). Additional requirements include:

  • PCA/DCA , SRNA, or EMT Experience preferred but not required
  • Current BLS certification, can be obtained after hire
  • Handle with Care preferred
  • Looking for candidates who are eager to learn and motivated to work in a critical care environment.
