Patient Access Representative - Patient Access

About This Role

This role is responsible for the accurate and timely entry of patient information, scheduling, registration, and financial details. It involves verifying financial eligibility and ensuring coverage for all patient appointments and admissions. The Patient Access Representative communicates with patients, families, and staff while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills to interact positively with external and internal customers
• Perform scheduling, registration, and admission activities
• Gather demographic, insurance, and other information from patients and accurately enter it into HIS
• Verify financial eligibility and ensure completion of supported documents and approvals upon scheduling and registration activities completion
• Perform billing, reconciliation, and cashier activities
• Multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Develop and meet personal and team qualitative and quantitative targets
• Participate in departmental meetings and activities
• Accept working different shift duties according to operational hours, including morning and night shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Participate in cross-functional teams and committees as appropriate
• Facilitate and involve with ongoing training
• Perform any other tasks according to job requirements
• Liaise with other staff and departments and handle communication

Requirements

• 0-2 years of relevant experience
• Diploma in a relevant field

Nice to have:

• Experience in a large healthcare facility
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any relevant field
