Patient Access Representative

Playing an important role in supporting both patients and care teams, the Patient Access Representative creates a positive first impression for patients and ensures they have a smooth experience accessing care. Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional, welcoming, and compassionate manner
• Register patients and accurately collect demographic, insurance, and financial information
• Schedule appointments and assist patients with appointment changes and follow-up visits
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain required authorizations as appropriate
• Collect co-payments and process patient payments according to organizational policies
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling, registration, and general inquiries
• Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record system
• Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and care teams to support efficient clinic operations
• Provide excellent customer service while managing multiple tasks and priorities
• Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer and data entry skills required
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling patient information
• Commitment to providing exceptional service and creating a positive patient experience

Nice to have:

• Previous customer service, administrative, retail, hospitality, banking, healthcare, or office experience
• Experience with healthcare registration, scheduling, or electronic medical records
