What you will be doing:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide patient access support through scheduling appointments and coordinating procedures and outpatient services.
- Perform patient outreach services including scheduling new and reoccurring appointments, contacting specialty practices and community services to schedule patient appointments and procedures.
- Complete all appropriate documentation in Epic including chart preparation and pre-visit documentation.
- Work collaboratively with practice managers, access coordinators, and GPPC support staff to ensure patient follow up is timely and accurate.
- Provide support for referral management including working in Epic to proactively schedule patient referrals within the network.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures, in accordance with internal and legal regulations.
- Deliver exemplary customer service in order to provide a positive patient experience across the organization.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Education And Experience
- High school diploma required; two-year college degree preferred
- Proven work experience in healthcare facility and/or strong customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge of insurance and medical terminology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to utilize computer programs
