This role is for a talented Pastry Chef to join a busy, creative kitchen team. It suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves precision, and brings both technical skill and imagination to the pastry section. You will support the Head Chef in delivering exceptional desserts, bakery items, and event-led pastry production with consistency, efficiency, and pride.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day pastry production, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met
• Support menu development, seasonal changes, and event-specific pastry items
• Oversee mise en place, stock rotation, ordering, and section organisation
• Train, mentor, and support junior pastry staff
• Maintain excellent food safety, allergen control, and HACCP compliance
• Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to deliver smooth service across all outlets
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and professional conduct

Requirements

• Strong background in pastry, baking, patisserie, or dessert production
• Ability to balance creativity with operational discipline
• Confidence producing high volumes for events while maintaining finesse
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• A calm, positive, and solutions-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a tight-knit team
• Passion for flavour, texture, and beautiful presentation
• Eight years high-end kitchen experience
• Drive to develop professionally
• Keen interest in modern trends and styles
• Leadership qualities
• Organised and disciplined
• Hold yourself and others accountable
