Are you looking to build a career in property management and grow your own portfolio?
Rentex Limited is a well-established, family-owned Auckland property management company, operating since 1988. We specialise solely in property management and are looking for an enthusiastic part-time Trainee Property Manager to join our team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who already has some experience in property, property management or real estate but wants to take the next step.
Fluency in both Mandarin and Cantonese is key to this role, as you will be working with and developing relationships with our Chinese-speaking clients.
The Opportunity
You will work alongside our experienced property management team and receive full training and ongoing support, while gradually developing and managing your own portfolio of properties.
This isn't just an administration role. We are looking for someone who enjoys dealing with people, building relationships and developing new business.
As your experience and portfolio grow, so does your earning potential.
The role includes:
- Full property management training and ongoing support
- Growing and managing your own portfolio
- Building relationships with landlords and tenants
- Property inspections and viewings
- Tenant selection and tenancy administration
- Coordinating maintenance
- Learning tenancy legislation and best-practice property management
- Developing new landlord/client relationships
- Working alongside an experienced and supportive team
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally have:
- Fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Some previous experience in property management, real estate, property, sales or a similar client-facing role
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence dealing with people from a wide range of backgrounds
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- A proactive, motivated attitude
- An interest in building your own client base and portfolio
- A full New Zealand driver's licence
