Role Overview: The Progressive Care Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment, focusing on higher-acuity patients in a Step Down Unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions during admission and shifts, reporting changes.
- Perform procedures and administer prescribed medications, monitoring responses.
- Document care accurately and thoroughly in medical records.
- Coordinate pre-operative and post-operative nursing care in collaboration with medical providers.
- Serve as patient advocate to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current RN license with an Associate, Bachelor’s Degree, or RN Diploma.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months.
- Experience in acute care, medical-surgical, or step-down units.
