About the role
Role Overview: This position involves providing safe, age-appropriate diagnostic imaging services, performing technical procedures independently, and ensuring high-quality image acquisition. The technologist sets up equipment, positions patients, and maintains equipment in accordance with safety and infection control standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain complete clinical history, assess patient condition, and respond to emergency situations.
- Ensure proper patient identification, accurate imaging, and adherence to protocols.
- Explain procedures clearly using patient-centered communication techniques.
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment safely, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
- Participate in quality control, documentation, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Assist with patient transport, prep, and support departmental operations.
- Contribute to staff training, departmental organization, and support functions as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Accredited Radiologic Technology program completion.
- Certifications: ARRT-M (Mammography), ARRT-R (Radiography), BLS.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with preferred Mammography experience.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently, handle stress, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, radiation safety, and imaging techniques.
Additional Requirements: Dependability, flexibility, professionalism, and adherence to all hospital policies and safety standards.
