About the role
Role: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medication Nurse responsible for providing safe and accurate medication administration, health monitoring, and clinical documentation in a senior living setting.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Document activities accurately in MAR/TAR in real time
- Monitor residents for symptoms, adverse reactions, and health changes
- Transcribe physician orders, support care plan updates, and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes
- Maintain medication carts, perform narcotic counts, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Report refusals or adverse reactions promptly and conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs)
Qualifications & Skills
- Active LPN license in good standing
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred
