Part Time Finance Manager

About This Role

The Finance Manager oversees the organization's financial management, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and compliance with company and statutory requirements. This role provides both strategic financial support and hands-on day-to-day financial management, supporting the leadership team with financial planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the organization's financial management
• Ensure robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and compliance with company and statutory requirements
• Support the leadership team with financial planning and decision-making
• Provide strategic financial support and hands-on day-to-day financial management
• Prepare payroll and process invoices with agreed deadlines
• Produce monthly management accounts within agreed deadlines
• Prepare VAT returns on a quarterly basis
• Prepare and approve annual budget on time
• Maintain accurate cash flow forecasts
• Submit statutory and regulatory returns by deadlines

Requirements

• AAT qualified, qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), or equivalent relevant experience
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles
• Experience of producing management accounts and financial reports
• Experience of budget setting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Experience maintaining financial controls and procedures
• Good understanding of accounting software, specifically Xero
• Experience using Microsoft Excel at an advanced level
• Understanding of payroll and pension administration
• Experience working independently and managing a varied workload

• Hours: approximately 10 hours per month, variable
• Contract: Freelance
