About This Role

This role involves assisting a certificated teacher in a classroom setting, reinforcing instruction for individual students or small groups, and helping with instructional materials and lesson plans. The paraprofessional also performs routine clerical and supportive tasks for instructional personnel.

• Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of lesson plans
• Provide routine clerical and supportive tasks for instructional personnel

• Meet minimum qualifications

Important Details

• Schedule: 3.75 - 6.0 hours per day, August through June, 206 paid days per year

• An examination will be given to establish an eligibility list for the position
• A completed application for employment must be received in Human Resources by 4:30 p.m. on the closing date
• Written Merit Exam: TBD
• All testing will take place at the Education Service Center, 4750 Date Avenue, La Mesa, CA 91942
• Test starts promptly at the scheduled time; latecomers will not be admitted
• Candidates will be required to present valid photo identification prior to sign-in
• Those who achieve a passing score on the written exam will be invited to an oral exam
