About the role
Role Overview: The Paramedic, under supervision, provides age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care, ensuring a safe environment, educating patients and families, and effectively communicating.
Key Responsibilities: Participates in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of healthcare services. Acts as a Nurse Extender by advocating for patients, teaching, overseeing unlicensed personnel, and contributing to performance improvement.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least 1 year of Paramedic experience preferred
- Valid BCLS and ACLS certifications upon hire
- Completion of PALS within 6 months if applicable
- Current Licensed Paramedic certification in the state of Georgia required; National Registry certification preferred
