About the role
Willis Knighton is seeking a National Registry EMT - Paramedic who attends ALS and BLS patients transported by the Willis Knighton Ambulance service. The paramedic is required to have ACLS, PALS, and BLS active certifications. Must have the ability to obtain an appropriate Louisiana license for your certification level.
This part-time position's duties include, but not limited to, ambulance inspection for cleanliness and proper equipment and medical supplies; ordering supplies through the Assistant Director and maintaining ready response vehicles for patient transport; monthly inspections of ALS equipment and medicine bags for current supply levels and expiration dates; patient chart audits and signed PCS forms will require monthly inspections.
The Paramedic will work cooperatively with other transport team members and demonstrate good public relations skills in dealing with physicians, nurses, hospitals, and referral agencies. They will also maintain professional behavior and represent Willis Knighton in a positive manner.
At least one year of experience in patient care is required for this position, and you must have a current Louisiana chauffeur's driver's license.
