Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff during shifts, ensuring smooth operations from food preparation to customer service.
- Oversee food safety practices, proper food handling, and sanitation procedures to maintain high-quality standards.
- Manage inventory control, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment of ingredients and supplies.
- Utilize POS systems for accurate order processing, cash handling, and sales tracking.
- Train new team members on food preparation, customer service protocols, and restaurant policies to foster a skilled and motivated team.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive dining experience for all guests.
- Conduct shift management duties including scheduling, ensuring adherence to labor laws, and analyzing profit and loss reports to optimize restaurant performance.
Skills
- Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen management within quick service or fast food environments.
- Proficiency with POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
- Strong background in inventory control, food safety management, and food handling procedures.
- Demonstrated leadership in supervising teams, training staff, and managing hospitality or restaurant teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for managerial conversations, staff training, and customer interactions.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to cash handling, budgeting, and profit analysis.
- Experience with managing shift operations in casual dining or quick service restaurants; catering or banquet experience is a plus.
