About This Role
Painting and finishing work for renovation and fit-out projects is the core of this role, which involves surface preparation, painting, wall finishing, and touch-ups. This position suits a skilled painter with strong attention to detail who can deliver professional finishes according to project specifications and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Carry out interior and exterior painting works for residential renovation and fit-out projects
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, filling cracks, repairing minor defects, and applying putty
- Apply primers, sealers, undercoats, and finishing coats as required
- Perform wall and ceiling painting using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment where appropriate
- Carry out smooth finishing, edge cutting, corner finishing, and detailed touch-up works
- Match paint colors and shades according to client requirements and approved samples
- Perform repainting, repair works, and final touch-ups after carpentry, gypsum, and other installation works
- Apply suitable protective coverings to floors, furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces before painting
- Inspect completed work to ensure consistent color, smooth surfaces, and a high-quality finish
- Rectify painting defects and complete snagging works before project handover
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades to maintain work schedules
- Maintain painting tools, equipment, and materials properly
- Follow site safety procedures and keep the work area clean and organized
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Painter or Finishing Painter in construction, renovation, or interior fit-out projects
- Good knowledge of surface preparation, putty application, sanding, priming, and painting techniques
- Ability to achieve smooth and uniform finishes without visible marks, uneven patches, or paint runs
- Experience in wall, ceiling, door, and trim painting
- Knowledge of paint types, materials, and application methods
- Ability to identify and rectify surface defects
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work at different project sites across Dubai
