Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly through cleaning, sanding, drywall repair, caulking, and stucco application to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately execute painting projects across various surfaces and structures
- Apply paints using brushes, rollers, paint sprayers (including airless and conventional spray equipment), and power tools for efficient coverage
- Conduct surface preparation for construction painting tasks, including coating application on walls, ceilings, fixtures, and structural elements
- Use color theory knowledge to select appropriate hues and finishes that meet client expectations and design specifications
- Follow safety regulations rigorously by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to safety protocols during all phases of work
- Complete construction estimating tasks related to material needs and project timelines when required
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling hand tools, spray equipment, and disposing of waste materials responsibly
- Collaborate with team members on fixture installation, drywall finishing, stucco work, and remodeling projects to ensure seamless project execution
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques and coating applications
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately for diverse projects
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction sites, including respiratory protection and safe ladder use
- Familiarity with residential painting practices as well as commercial and industrial painting environments
- Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and estimating materials needed for projects
- Experience working on construction sites with exposure to renovation or remodeling projects is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for visual color comparison to achieve precise finishes
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards
