About This Role
Painting for residential and commercial properties is the core of this role, which involves both interior and exterior work. The ideal candidate will have experience in surface preparation, wall repairs, and finishing works, joining a maintenance and fit-out team.
Responsibilities
- Carry out interior and exterior painting works for walls, ceilings, doors, frames, and other surfaces
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks, and removing old or peeling paint
- Apply putty, primer, undercoat, and finishing coats to achieve a smooth and professional finish
- Perform wall patching, minor plaster repairs, and surface levelling before painting
- Mix paints and match colours according to client requirements and approved samples
- Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other appropriate tools
- Carry out repainting, touch-up, and maintenance painting works
- Perform painting works on gypsum ceilings, partitions, wooden doors, metal surfaces, and other materials as required
- Protect floors, furniture, fixtures, and surrounding areas during painting works
- Ensure proper drying time and quality between coats
- Inspect completed work to ensure consistent colour, smooth finishing, and high-quality workmanship
- Estimate material requirements and report any additional requirements to the supervisor
- Maintain painting tools and equipment in good working condition
- Follow site safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Painter in maintenance, construction, or fit-out projects
- Good knowledge of surface preparation, putty application, priming, and paint finishing
- Experience with different types of paints and coatings
- Ability to use brushes, rollers, spray guns, and painting equipment
- Knowledge of interior and exterior painting techniques
- Good attention to detail and finishing quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
- UAE experience is preferred
