About the role
Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participates in activities ensuring patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with clear goals, collaborating with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers.
- Maintains safety-sensitive work standards, demonstrating alertness and safe practices at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- Licensure: RN license required.
- Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
- Experience in PACU, ED, or ICU is preferred.
Skills & Requirements: Critical thinking, patient education, collaborative teamwork, adherence to safety protocols, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
