Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant)

Location: Stockton, CA

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Experience Required: 2+ years as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with competency in suturing, musculoskeletal assessment, and office-based procedures.

About The Role As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play a critical role in delivering high-quality occupational and preventive healthcare services to a diverse patient population. You will work collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff to evaluate, diagnose, and treat work-related injuries and illnesses while promoting workplace health and safety.

What You'll Do

Patient Care

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history reviews and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and treat occupational injuries, illnesses, and other acute medical conditions.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic testing, including laboratory studies, imaging, and electrocardiograms.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress and ensure continuity of care throughout treatment.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, preventive care, and health maintenance.

Procedures

• Perform clinical procedures including:

• Suturing and laceration repair

• Wound management

• Injections and immunizations

• Foreign body removal

• Infection management

• Other office-based procedures within scope of practice

Collaboration & Quality

• Partner with physicians and clinical teams to deliver effective occupational health services.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices.
• Participate in educational programs, clinical training, and ongoing professional development.
• Contribute to a positive patient and client experience through excellent communication and service.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current unrestricted PA or NP license in the state of practice.
• National board certification.
• DEA registration required prior to start date.
• FMCSA NRCME certification required before start date (training and certification support available if needed).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, emergency medicine, or a related clinical setting.
• Procedural experience, including laceration repair and suturing.
• Knowledge of workers' compensation processes and occupational health regulations.
• Strong understanding of clinical operations and quality standards.
