About This Role
Maintaining inventory levels and organizing stock to ensure products are available for customers is the core of this stocking role. This position is essential for providing excellent customer service and supporting retail operations.
Responsibilities
- Receive and unload shipments, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good condition
- Organize stock on shelves, ensuring products are displayed attractively and accessible to customers
- Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels and assist with inventory control
- Utilize equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move heavy items safely within the warehouse or store
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding stock levels, product availability, and any discrepancies
- Assist customers with locating products and provide information as needed to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Support retail sales efforts by ensuring that promotional displays are well-stocked and visually appealing
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or retail environment is preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic knowledge of retail math to assist with inventory management and stock control
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job duties
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Third shift experience: 1 year (Required)
