Responsibilities
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting outdoor power parts, accessories, and related products with enthusiasm and expert advice
- Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment, organization, and accurate inventory control using inventory management systems
- Process sales transactions efficiently utilizing POS (Point of Sale) systems while handling cash and credit payments securely
- Provide technical support by explaining product features, maintenance tips, and troubleshooting procedures for outdoor power equipment
- Build strong customer relationships through personalized service, effective communication, and follow-up on their needs
- Coordinate order fulfillment for special requests or backorders ensuring timely delivery to customers
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace including stocking shelves, labeling products clearly, and ensuring safety standards are met
Skills
- Deep knowledge of outdoor power equipment parts, accessories, and automotive repair principles
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills combined with automotive diagnostics experience
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual/multilingual abilities preferred) to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Proven negotiation skills to close sales and upsell relevant products confidently
- Experience with inventory management software such as CMMS or automotive parts management systems
- Familiarity with retail sales processes including cashiering, retail math, and POS operations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service expertise with a focus on building lasting client relationships through attentive listening and problem-solving
- Knowledge of vehicle systems, automotive diagnostics, and maintenance procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and communication purposes
