About the role
This role involves performing eye tests and providing patient care in an optometry setting. You will conduct relevant eye examinations, provide patient education and consultation, manage patient needs and complaints, and support surgery planning and scheduling. You will also handle administrative tasks and assist with various roles on surgery and OT days.
Key responsibilities
- Perform all relevant eye tests (eg. refraction, instrumental eye tests, etc) deemed necessary by HOD/doctor
- Provide patient education ie. Consultation
- Provide patient care ie. attend to patients' needs/requests
- Manage patient complaints
- Surgery planning & scheduling
- Administrative work including paperwork eg. consultation/follow-up/eye tests notes, patient follow-up, statistic and reports, and housekeeping of certain work areas assigned by HOD
- Surgery Opto role on surgery/OT days
- Surgery Coordinator role on surgery/OT days
- Laser Technician role on surgery/OT days
- OT Assistant role on surgery/OT days
About you
- Degree in Optometry
- With or without experience
