About This Role
This full-time, on-site Optometrist role in Dartmouth, MA, involves providing comprehensive eye examinations and medical eye care to a diverse patient population. The Optometrist will perform routine and diagnostic eye exams, identify and manage ocular diseases, prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses, and educate patients on eye health and vision correction options. The role requires collaboration with other providers and optical staff to ensure coordinated care and a positive patient experience.

Requirements
Ability to perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and manage common ocular conditions, and provide general and medical optometric care
Skills in prescribing and managing eyeglasses and contact lenses, including fitting and follow-up care for a wide range of vision correction needs
Strong patient communication and counseling skills, including explaining findings, treatment options, and preventive eye health in clear, accessible language
Competence in clinical documentation, use of electronic health records, and adherence to professional, ethical, and regulatory standards
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
Current, unrestricted optometry license (or eligibility) in Massachusetts
Ability to work collaboratively in a group practice setting and provide care to patients of all ages, including children and families
Willingness to participate in continuing education and stay current with advances in optometric care
Nice to have:
Experience in multi-site or retail-based clinical environments
