Optician

Job Overview
We are seeking a customer-focused Optician to join our practice. Customer service is an essential piece of this job as you will be spending most of the day working directly with patients in the optical department. Prior experience in optical is preferred.

Duties

• Dispensing new glasses and adjusting patients glasses as needed.
• Take precise measurements for lenses, including pupillary distance and segment height.
• Manage retail inventory, including frames, lenses, and supplies.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in optical settings or laboratory work related to eyewear manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong retail sales skills combined with proficiency in retail math for managing inventory and sales transactions.
• Ability to work effectively within healthcare regulations such as HIPAA compliance standards.
• Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
