Position Overview A private ophthalmology practice in Old Bridge, New Jersey is seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time Ophthalmologist to join its high-volume, surgery-focused practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a surgically oriented ophthalmologist interested in cataract and refractive procedures, advanced technology, and continued surgical development.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive ophthalmic evaluations and treatment.
- Perform cataract and refractive surgical procedures.
- Evaluate patients for premium IOL and advanced refractive procedures.
- Manage preoperative and postoperative patient care.
- Perform high-quality cataract surgeries in a high-volume setting.
- Utilize advanced surgical technology and ophthalmic equipment.
- Educate patients regarding treatment options, procedures, and expected outcomes.
- Maintain accurate medical records and coordinate care with clinical support staff.
- Deliver patient-centered care while maintaining high surgical standards.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- Completion of an Ophthalmology residency.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology.
- Active New Jersey medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong cataract surgical skills.
- Demonstrated interest in cataract and refractive surgery.
- Refractive or cataract fellowship training is preferred but not required.
- New graduates may be considered if they demonstrate excellent surgical ability.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume surgical practice.
- Strong communication and patient-care skills.
