About the role
Duties
As a Operations Support Assistant, may perform any or all of the following:
- Assists with supporting the Human resources functions by providing support in preparing and processing personnel actions; providing information concerning benefits; serving as a timekeeper; tracking and providing information regarding performance work plans and rating and awards; maintaining training records; coordinating and scheduling training.
- Supports the Asset (Property) and Fleet Management by updating asset management systems performing required inventories, receiving, transferring, and disposing of excess property; maintaining adequate inventory of supplies and forms; maintaining government vehicle fleet; scheduling maintenance and repairs; tracking fleet credit card expenses.
- Assists with the Facilities Management by serving as a point of contact for building issues, space planning and facility requirements, coordinating matters with General Service Administration, lessor, contractors, and other building occupants.
- Assists with security issues with matters relating to employee, facility, computer, and document security, access control, and documenting reporting issues. Participates in emergency planning. Communications emergency plans and security procedures.
- Assist with procurement by preparing requisitions for purchasing goods and services; Assists in Budget and Finance by monitoring and inputting financial data relating to operational activities; collects data for budget requests and budget expenditure.
- Assists in the administering the Occupational Health and Safety and Workers Compensation Programs by providing support in maintaining health and safety logs and training records, case files, reviewing OWCP claims, responding to general inquiries, preparing reports, and posting program information.
Qualifications
GS-07: You qualify at the GS-07 level you must possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to the GS-06 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
- Providing a wide range of support within Human Resource, Occupational Health and Safety and Workers Compensation Program, Facilities Management, Security, Procurement, Inventory, Asset (Property) and Fleet Management, Budget and Financial Management.
- Responding to non-routine inquiries, preparing requisitions for purchasing goods and services.
- Monitoring and inputting financial data, collects data for budget requests for Administrative Program.
