Operations Supervisor

About This Role

This direct-hire role involves leading the distribution operation at the company's Mobile, AL branch, overseeing a team of warehouse associates, CDL delivery drivers, and tint lab associates. The position requires a hands-on leader who will be actively involved in all aspects of the operation, from inbound to outbound and the color lab.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, picking, shipping, and inventory management
• Ensure that all operational tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and per company policies and procedures
• Train, mentor, and motivate warehouse personnel, providing guidance and support to foster a culture of excellence and teamwork
• Monitor and enforce safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment for all employees
• Assist in the development and implementation of operational procedures to optimize workflow and productivity
• Coordinate with the Operations Manager to plan and prioritize daily tasks, ensuring timely completion of orders and shipments
• Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse facilities and equipment, identifying any maintenance needs or safety hazards
• Address any operational issues or concerns promptly, escalating to management as needed
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure effective communication and coordination of activities
• Other duties may be assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or lead role
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management best practices
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse environment
• Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and problem-solve in a fast-paced setting
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as required
• Able to get forklift certified
• Pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen required (testing positive for any form of THC will result in a failed drug screen preventing employment)

Nice to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with warehouse management systems
