Operations Director

About This Role

Directing all operational functions at the company's location is the core of this job, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and driving profitability. This role is critical for driving business performance, operational efficiency, and service excellence through strategic leadership, strong business acumen, and the ability to inspire and manage high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Champion a culture where safety is the top operational priority by ensuring adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Oversee day-to-day operations across manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and distribution
• Ensure production targets are met in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining product quality
• Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for all operational functions
• Deliver measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and cost through structured improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
• Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with company goals
• Identify growth opportunities, including new markets, partnerships, and product lines
• Collaborate with executive leadership on business development initiatives
• Support company P&L objectives, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Analyze operational costs and implement cost-saving measures
• Ensure compliance with financial, regulatory, and reporting standards
• Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams (Production, Logistics, Engineering)
• Foster a high-performance culture focusing on accountability, collaboration, and innovation
• Recruit and develop top talent to support growth and operational excellence
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and partners
• Ensure customer satisfaction through timely delivery and exceptional service
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and logistics providers
• Oversee optimization of ERP, MRP, and other operational systems
• Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in operations or general management, preferably in a tech manufacturing/distribution setting
• Proven history in managing complex supply chains and high-mix low-volume manufacturing operations
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L
• Familiarity with ISO standards, Lean Manufacturing, and Quality Management Systems
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills
