About This Role
Directing the daily operations of a meadery and winery is the core of this role, focusing on optimizing processes and supporting company goals. The Operations Director works closely with management and internal teams to coordinate production, inventory, customer service, and general business activities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the winery (including mead and wine production) to ensure efficient business activity
- Develop and implement operational plans aligned with company objectives
- Coordinate production scheduling, inventory management, and supply chain activities
- Collaborate with sales, hospitality, and production teams to ensure service standards are maintained
- Monitor operational budgets, expenses, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Manage supplier relationships and oversee procurement and resource planning
- Ensure all operational processes comply with relevant safety and regulatory requirements
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency gains
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Experience in operations management, business administration, or hospitality operations
- Familiarity with beverage production, inventory management, or winery operational workflows
- Knowledge of budgeting, operational planning, and process improvement
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and effectively manage operational priorities
