Operations Area Manager, FC Operations

About This Role

This Area Manager role is at the core of Amazon's operations, ensuring efficient order fulfillment and dispatch to meet customer demand. You will lead a team focused on maintaining safety, efficiency, and high quality, while also driving productivity through various projects across the network. The position is classified at Level 1 or above, depending on the candidate's skills, competencies, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Create, oversee, and drive a culture of safety and wellbeing
• Analyse and implement changes to keep quality and productivity at a consistently high level
• Oversee projects to streamline processes, optimise productivity and increase quality of service for customers within your area of responsibility
• Analyse shift performance against relevant business objectives, and put in place actions to improve operational excellence
• Work collaboratively with management-level colleagues to standardise shift practices

Requirements

• Experience managing teams
• Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including colleagues and leadership
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
• Speak, write, and read fluently in Italian
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English
• Bachelor's degree

Nice to have:

• Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
• Experience in a logistics/operations environment
• Experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
