Operations Analyst

About This Role

The Operations Analyst supports organizational efficiency, operational reporting, logistics coordination, and process improvement initiatives at the Children & Family Institute (CFI). This part-time contract opportunity is ideal for an early-career professional or recent graduate with strong analytical and organizational skills looking to gain valuable experience in business operations and data management.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and maintain operational data using Microsoft Excel and other reporting platforms.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and performance tracking documents.
• Monitor operational metrics and identify trends or opportunities for improvement.
• Support data accuracy and reporting consistency across departments.
• Assist with logistics planning, inventory tracking, and resource coordination.
• Support organizational projects and operational initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments to support operational efficiency.
• Assist with tracking equipment, resources, and operational activities.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes.
• Support implementation and maintenance of operational tracking systems.
• Assist with workflow automation and project management tools.
• Provide basic troubleshooting and systems coordination support.
• Recommend practical improvements to existing processes.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

Nice to have:

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
• Experience with Monday.com or comparable project management platforms.
• Understanding of workflow automation and process improvement.
• Experience with logistics, inventory management, or operational reporting.
• Previous experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.
