About the role

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person role based at one of our campus locations.

Many schools push operations behind closed doors, buried in meetings and approval chains. Alpha takes a different approach. This role puts you at the center of campus life every day: welcoming families, resolving device problems, managing arrivals and dismissals, reassuring concerned parents, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring the campus environment feels secure, professional, and distinctly Alpha.

We're looking for someone who can be approachable without being lenient, systematic without retreating behind procedures, and self-assured without distancing themselves from hands-on work. You will be responsible for nearly everything that falls outside direct academic instruction: family communication, attendance processes, campus security, facilities management, lunch coordination, technology devices, special events, and the minor issues that escalate quickly without prompt attention.

A large local operations staff will not surround you. You will receive runbooks, remote assistance, and established protocols, but the ability to learn quickly, leverage available resources, and exercise sound judgment in real time is essential. In return, you will become the reliable presence families recognize, the go-to person guides depend on, and the adult students know they can turn to when problems arise.

If you are seeking a high-visibility school operations position where service orientation, decision-making, communication skills, and accountability are tested daily, submit your application now.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Serve as the primary trusted contact for parents, students, staff, and campus visitors, delivering clear, composed, and prompt communication.
  • Oversee daily campus operations, including morning arrival, afternoon dismissal, attendance tracking, transportation coordination, lunch management, campus presentation, event execution, and facilities follow-through.
  • Address safety protocols and student welfare matters, including building access, emergency drills, health situations, incident documentation, and parent notifications.
  • Supervise student devices and essential campus technology, covering device setup, account assistance, troubleshooting support, backup management, repair coordination, and escalation to remote technical teams.
  • Establish trust with Guides, external vendors, and families by prioritizing helpfulness while upholding established standards.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Operating from a back office while others manage parent and student interactions.
  • Delivering classroom instruction, mentoring Guides, or developing academic curriculum.
  • Waiting for managerial direction to resolve every situation before taking action.
  • Managing campus operations through multiple layers of meetings when immediate decisions are required.
  • Delegating facilities, devices, vendor relationships, or meal services as outside your scope of responsibility.

Operations Administrator Key Responsibilities Deliver a safe, efficient, and welcoming campus environment that builds confidence among students, parents, and staff on a daily basis.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • At least 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or similar operational roles
  • Comfort with basic technology tasks including device setup, troubleshooting, and account administration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across parents, staff, and vendors
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Available to work in-person in one of our campuses: Carrollton, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Austin, TX; Houston, TX; Oklahoma City, OK; Park City, UT; Tulsa, OK; Tampa, FL; Denver, CO; or Brentwood, TN — or willing to relocate

Nice-to-have Requirements Experience in K-12 school operations, student information systems, facilities coordination, parent communication, or campus-based customer service
