🚀 Freelance Senior IT Operations & SIAM Officer
For an organization in Brussels , we are looking for an experienced Senior IT Operations & SIAM Officer for a long-term freelance assignment.
📍 Brussels | 50% remote
📅 Start: 05/10/2026
📅 End: 31/12/2027
🏢 Minimum 2 days/week onsite – Thursday mandatory
Must Have
- 15+ years of professional IT experience
- 10+ years of experience in IT Operations / IT Service Management
- Strong experience with Service Integration and Management (SIAM) in a multi-vendor environment
- Strong knowledge of ITIL 4, governance and service management
- Experience with operational transformation and/or large-scale IT outsourcing
- Experience with service transition and supplier onboarding
- Valid ITIL 4 Foundation certification or higher
- Experience with KPIs, SLAs, OLAs and supplier governance
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills
Languages
Fluent in Dutch, French and English, both spoken and written. One of the national languages (Dutch or French) must be at C1/C2 level, the other at minimum B2 level, and English at minimum B2 level.
Nice to Have
- SIAM Foundation / Professional certification
- Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt
- Experience in public-sector or regulated environments
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of the IT Operations strategy and operating model
- Establish and continuously improve operational governance and processes
- Drive SIAM implementation and service integration across multiple providers
- Promote and embed ITIL 4 best practices
- Lead operational transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor KPIs, SLAs, OLAs, risks and supplier performance
- Coordinate internal teams, external suppliers and offshore teams
- Lead supplier onboarding and service transition activities
- Ensure operational readiness, knowledge transfer, documentation and service acceptance
- Prepare management reports, dashboards and executive presentations
- Act as a trusted advisor to IT Operations management
